"Think About Such Things"

I’ve met many Deaf Christians in my experience with the Deaf Community, and seeing someone’s faith expressed in a different and visual language has deeply inspired my own personal walk with the Lord. This project, featuring Austin Cary, a deaf worship leader at the Grove Church in Riverside, illustrates a powerful verse from Philippians and praises the Lord through a beautiful interpretation. In collaboration with Mr. Cary, I strove to visually depict the movement of the signs to help hearing individuals better understand the intricately beautiful communication of American Sign Language.

Interlaced

This project consists of sixteen participants who highlight the Imago Dei of humanity, made in the Image of God. These portraits highlight and contrast the constants and diversity of humans, as each person assumes the same pose with their hands, while the light shapes the contours of each participant's hands.

Light Painting

This area of photography has been a passion of mine ever since I first saw this type of art. I am constantly experimenting, seeking new ways to capture the wonder of God's creation through light. These photos comprise a personal journey through the exploration of light.

Signed

This project, inspired by De’VIA art, explores combining American Sign Language signs with photography techniques in ways never done before. Each work of art portrays a single sign and captures the beautiful movements, from start to finish, integral to the equally beautiful language.
